  Former Union Minister Sharad Yadav Dies At 75 A statement from Gurugram's Fortis Memorial Research Institute where he was taken immediately -- said Sharad Yadav was brought to the emergency ward in an unconscious and unresponsive state. Former Union Minister and one of the country's most prominent socialist leaders, Sharad Yadav, died on Thursday. The 75-year-old was ailing for a long time and had collapsed at his home in Delhi on Thursday. A statement from Gurugram's Fortis Memorial Research Institute – where he was taken immediately -- said Mr Yadav was brought to the emergency ward in an unconscious and unresponsive state. "On examination, he did not have any pulse or recordable blood pressure. He underwent CPR as per ACLS protocols. Despite best efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 10.19 pm," the statement said. West Bengal: आसनसोल में बीसीसीएल की बंद खदान धंसी, कई के दबे होने की आशंका

पश्चिम बंगाल के बर्धमान जिले के आसनसोल कुल्टी थाना के दमागोडिया स्थित बीसीसीएल के बंद पड़े कोयला खदान में रविवार सुबह अवैध खनन के दौरान अचानक धंस गई । इसमें कई ग्रामीणों के फंसे होने की आशंका जताई जा रही है। घटना की सूचना के बाद जिला प्रशासन के अधिकारी और बीसीसीएल के अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंच गए। बताया जा रहा है कि जब यह खदान धंसी, तब दर्जनों लोग वहां अवैध रूप खनन कर रहे थे। स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि यहां बंद खदान के मुहानों में घुसकर आसपास के गांव वाले खनन करते हैं। अवैध खनन के बाद कोयला बोरियों में भरकर ले जाते हैं। अनेक बोरियां भी मलबे के ढेर में दब गई हैं। रविवार की सुबह कुल्टी थाने के बोदरा गांव में बीसीसीएल के 12 नंबर हजला गड्ढे का बड़ा हिस्सा भरभराकर गिर गया। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि उस खदान में 20 से 25 लोग दबे हो सकते हैं। पुलिस पहले से ही घटना की जांच कर रही है। खदान के अंदर कितने लोग फंसे हैं इसकी जांच की जा रही है। स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार खदान में अवैध रूप से कोयले के प्रवेश के कारण यह हादसा हुआ है। हालांकि इस पर बीसीसीएल खदान प्राधिकरण ने ताला लगा दिया है। उनकी एकमात्र शिका...
